Marlina Thompson

Not only did 2020 bring Covid19 to the world but it brought breast cancer into my world, as my Mum is fighting her fight as I write. It has all happened without time to question 'Why is this happening?' or 'Why my loved one?'. Cancer doesn't discriminate, it doesn't care what you look like or what race you are. All there is left to do now is help her in the fight.

Although I take her to her chemo sessions I felt I could be doing something more so I thought by volunteering in the bucket collection and doing the Pink Ribbon Walk I could give back. Whatever the amount of my contribution may end up being, it will help in fighting something bigger than us all and at least I know, I have tried to help my Mum 'fight the Fight'. Don't give up!
